Santa's Slay Review by Psycho Billy

Hello all, and Happy Holidays
This week we are continuing our Holiday of horror celebration hosted by Psycho Billy, during this we review great holiday theme horror movies. and we brought psycho billy back from the dead to review these movies.

This week he is reviewing Santa's Slay

"He's making a list... pray you're not on it."

Indeed true to boot, this film is a pretty good one if you are sick with the flu and nothing to watch or just bored of the same old Billy Black Christmas bull. The film reveals that Santa Claus is actually the son of the devil and that he lost a curling match to an angel. The bet was that if Santa wins, the angel ends up in Hell, if Santa loses, he had to be goody goody two shoes for a friggen 1000 years. Well those 1000 years are up and Santa is PISSED!!! It's subplot revolves around the grandson of the angel trying to get with some blonde chick (Emelie de Ravin, who played the heavily pregnant Claire on LOST ) AND save Christmas from the sadistic saint, who has one buffalo looking reindeer named BERZERKER. The film stars Bill Goldberg as Santa and features cameos from such "wonderful" actors such as Chris Kattan, Fran Drescher, James Cann, Rebecca Gayheart, Tommy "Tiny" Lister, and BILL FRIGGEN GOLDBERG! COME ON! I give this film two out of three jack-o-lanterns for the effort, the casting (although they utterly failed with the casting of Fran Drescher and Chris Kattan), the wonderful special F/X, and the writing, the WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL WRITING of this film.

We hope you enjoyed his review on Santa's Slay.
This is our last newsletter before the holidays and we would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holidays and we will be back next week with one last review

Psycho Billy Review of Jack Frost (1996)

Hello all,
Last week we started our Hoilday of horror's celibration were we review holiday theme horror movies and this year we brought Psycho Billy back from the dead to review some great movies.
So this week we present you with Psycho Bill review of Jack Frost (1996)

He's chillin...and killin"

This tagline was, how you say, pretty bad...

The film isn't about that magic loser who tries to steal Frosty's mystical magical hat. You want that, go somewhere else. This film is about the ficticious serial killer, Jack Frost (played gruesomely by Scott MacDonald) who eluded the cops for five years and left a trail of thirty-eight bodies across five states, who is on his way to execution when the state transfer truck he is in passes through Snomonton County, the place of his arrest, and makes a bad accident with a GCC truck. There he escapes but not before having a chemical acid sprayed onto him that melts him down and fuses his cells with the frozen sheet of snow. And there with that, he becomes a snowman who is given a face by Snomonton Sheriff Sam Tiler (played by Christopher Alport quite well)'s son, Ryan, who is played by Zack Eginton. How is this significant? The sheriff was the man who caught bad ole Frost. Now Jack's back in town, and he is making a killing in many ways, eluding not only the Snomonton County Sheriffs Office but the FBI as well. This film marks the first film role of the sexy Shannon Elizabeth in a pretty good flick that inspired only one sequel, the writing was pretty good and somewhat comical and horror at the same time.

I give this film four out of six jack-o-lanterns for the writing, the special f/x, and the casting of the characters.

We hope you enjoy his review on Jack Frost,
We would like to remind you too check out or site, we got all of holiday horror reviews and we also got holiday theme videos, and trailers ofall the movies we review, and more, all this is on our holiday of horror page

Black Christmas (1974) review By Psycho Billy

Hello all,
This week we are starting our 3rd annual Holiday of Horrors witch is our annual horror movie review time. The whole month we are going to be reviewing Holiday theme movies.

But this year we are bringing back the Great Psycho Billy from the dead to review for Holiday of Horrors.
He will be reviewing a lot of movies and since we got a short window for Holidays of Horrors we are going too kick off with a review right away

So here is Psycho Billys review of Black Christmas (1974)

"If this movie doesn't make your skin crawl... It's On Too Tight!"

This tag line inspired a rash of Holi-Horror flick (Holiday Horror), in fact if it weren't for this film, Halloween would have never been made. On a clear Christmas night, a series of murders are occurring at a sorority house, mysterious phone calls believed to be pranks but are the mad ravings of a psychopath, who is willing to butcher those who cross him and all. Now, I love this film for it's on edgeness and filming style. The fact is it is like what I say, The devil you can't see is much more terrifying than that of the devil you can. You only see the killer for a fraction of a second, and that is a section of his eye. The killer is deemed Billy and is believed to have an accomplice named Agnes, although Agnes is never seen, only referenced. This film predates Halloween by four years, but upon release, it was renamed to other titles ranging from "Silent Night, Evil Night", it's U.S. release, to "Stranger in the House", it's U.S. Television release on NBC, making it nearly impossible to track down. It kick started the Holi-Horror craze and was the first film to have the killer inside the house, which would not be seen until When a Stranger Calls in 1979 and seem the second time for the remake of Black Christmas in 2006. But I will warn you that the film is confusing because you are truly unsure of who the killer is until the very end.

I give this film four jack-o-lanterns out of six for effort, writing, direction of Bob Clark, the casting of Olivia Hussey (Audra Phillips in IT and mother Bates in PSYCHO IV: THE BEGINNING) and the amazingness and creepiness of the film throughout.

We hope you enjoyed his review and there will be more to come.
We also are slowing making a new change to the site, we are going to have videos on it from youtube every month we will have a differnt set of videos
Some might be our own videos as well
We hope you enjoy holidays of Horrors and please visit our site Http://mchc60.50webs.com we have tons of reviews and now Psycho Billys Holidays of horrors

The Crypt Haunted house Review

Hello all,
We got our final haunted house review for the 2010 haunt season, we are sad too see it come to the end, since Halloween we are running our Yard of Terror home haunt.
so our final review for 2010 is

The Crypt, Located at: Burton,Michigan
This is my first year ever going to The Crypt and I thought it was a good haunt. It was an old school type of a hunt with a lot of great scenes in it. It had a lot of awesome props in it and it was very gory. One of the reasons why I liked it was a in your face type of a haunt. People in your face every left and right trough the whole entire haunt. But there was some things I disliked about it as well. I thought it was a little to short for my liking, I wish it was a little bit longer. Another reason why I didn't like it was that I could see people ahead of the time so when theu jumped out in front of us we already had see thems. But other then that I think The Crypt was a great haunt and if you are in the area its deffently a must go.
Our offical rating for The Crypt is 4 out of 6 skulls.

We hope you enjoyed our review,
Now as we said before we are having a haunted yard and if your looking for a good time you guys should stop by
We are open 7 to ?? located in Taylor,Michigan on Polk St right of ecorse,

Today we are reviewing another great haunt for our annual Hauntober celebration which is our haunted house review section in the club.
Today's review is

Extreme Scream Haunted House, Located in Waterford, Michigan.
We have been going to the Extreme Scream for years now since it was right in our neighborhood and we always loved it, and this years haunt was no different. This years haunt was really awesome one of my favorite haunted house so far this haunt season. They have a lot of unique scenes trough out the haunt, and it will scare the hell out of you every step trough this haunt. Another reason why I loved this haunt is it's strictly a old school haunt, just great scenes and great scares. This haunt as also changed a lot with new scenes and good scares. I have no complants about this haunt. Also the price is very reasonable and its well worth it. If you like in your face fear and awesome scares this haunt is for you, and it's always been a favorite of mine and I always look forward to getting scared and having a good time at the Extreme Scream and I think you will too.
So our official rating of Extreme Scream is 6 out of 6 skulls

We hope you enjoyed our review, next review is The Crypt located in Burton,Michigan.

Deadly Intentions Haunted House Review

Hello all,
Sorry for missing a week, we have been really busy with work and school we just didn't have time to make a newsletter, but we are back in action and we got a great review
This week we are reviewing Deadly Intentions Haunted House located in Warren, Michigan.

Here we go:
Every Haunt season I always make it out to Deadly Intentions. Every year I go it gets better and better. This year is no Different, this year haunt was awesome. There was no actually theme to it like the last couple years, but I think having no theme made it better. Its a very in your face haunt, with great scares. This year the haunt was 10 times longer then it any other year I gone to. The scares got a lot better and the scenes were amazing. There is not to many haunts that can top Deadly Intentions, they make it goal to scare the hell out of you every year. They also care about the customers too. I love deadly, and every year I love it more. I think Deadly Intentions is one of the best haunted houses in Michigan and I think it is a must go. If you want to get scared out of your mind Deadly Intentions is the place to go.
Our Official Rating for Deadly Intentions is 6 out of 6 skulls!
Make sure you go to there site www.deadlyintentionshaunt.com

Night Terrors Haunted House Review

Hello all,
This week we reviewing a great haunt that we went to last weekend,
Last weekend we went to Night Terrors Located at Wiard's Apple Orchid, in Ypsilanti Michigan.
Now there is 6 haunts in one location so we are going to have a review for each haunted attraction. and reminder all reviews get a 1 trough 6 skull rating.

So here it is

Hayride of the lost: Every year I got to Night Terrors, I always look forward to Hayrides of the lost, its one of my favorite hayrides around. It has a lot of good scenes that you don't see at hayrides. The scares was pretty good, probley one of the scariest I been on. Its also has a good story line to it as well. The one problem is if you been there before it hasn't change much. But it is still one of my favorites at Night Terrors
So we give Hayrides of the lost a good 5 out of 6 skulls

The Labyrinth Haunted maze: The Labyrinth had some good parts ad bad points. I like the idea of it, of a haunted maze but the maze was way to easy to navigate, When I went trough it we only got screwed up ounce and also there wasn't much actors in the whole haunt. So it wasn't that scary, But it is fun to go trough if you just want to have a good time, but if you want to get scared out of your mind then the Labyrinth is not the best.
So we give The Labyrinth 3 out of 6 skulls.

Allen Caged Clowns: This is by far the worst haunt at Night Terrors. I really do not like saying that but it was pretty bad. Its basically a big room with strobe lights going off and fog machines with 2 actors. It is really short, but they have a good vortex in it, It might scare you if you are Affraid of clowns but if not it's not going to scare you. If it was longer and more scenes I think it would be a good haunt.
So our offical Rating is 2 out of 6 Skulls

The Asylum: This is my all time favorite haunt at Night Terrors, This haunt is insaine! There is a lot of great scenes, and great scares. Right from the start you are bassically running trough the haunt. While you get confused and lost, They had a lot of great props in it as well. One thing I loved about this haunt was it strictly old school, just actors and props scaring you. Another thing I liked about it was it was really dark unlike some haunts there, you had to feel your way trough the whole haunt. I Think this is a must go if you are going to Night Terrors.
So we give Asylum a good: 6 out of 6 Skulls.

The Mind Shaft: This is the most creative haunt at Night Terrors. Its very louad and in your face kind of a haunt. I really didn't get scared but the props are just so awesome! It really makes you feel your going trough a mine. It is aslo a long haunt, so you get your moneys worth. You also haft to do a lot of hands on stuff in the Mind Shaft liek crawling trough holes, which I enjoy. So if you go to Night terrors The Mind Shaft is a must.
We give the Mind shaft a 4 out of 6 skulls.

The Ultamate Haunted barn: This haunt has been good over the years I been going to Night Terrors, but i was kinda of dissappointed of it, I mean it had its good scares and good scenes, but it was kinda short, like all of a sudden you are done with the haunt. I didnt really like that part much. But it did have some gory scenes and old school scares which I did Enjoy. But if it was longer I think it would be better.
So we give the Ultamate barn a good 4 out of 6 skulls!

We hope you enjoyed our review of Night Terrors we had a great time and its worth the drive form anywhere, We also went to Dadly Intentions but we will review that haunt later this week.
This weekend we are attending the Extreme Scream and Slaughtered at Sundown

We also want to mention about our great sponser of the club Channel 66.6 Haunted Radio is having there special Halloween links on there site, with a halloween countdown calendar, a haunt directory, a tribute to Hauntworld magazine's top 13 haunts in America, our haunted hall of fame, and a section where everyone can vote for our annual Golden Corpse Awards!! Demonic Demons and Scream Machine Haunted House Review

Hello all,
This week starts our first ever haunted house reviews for the 2010 haunt season for our 4th annual Hauntober Celibration!
Hauntober is when we go to local haunts around Michigan and Ohio and we review the, giving them a 1-6 Skull Rating. 1 being the worst 6 being the best!
Last weekend we went to our first haunts of the year.
Scream Machine and Demonic Demons,
So we are going to combine both reviews in one newsletter!

So here is our first review

Scream Machine, located at Taylor,Michigan- Now this has been my 5th time going to the Scream Machine, but I havent been there in a couple years, and I am glad I returned. This haunt has been good over the years but they never changed there set up. But this year they combined 2 haunts Scream Machine and Creepy Clowns in 3d which made it worth the moey. The thing I really liked about it was the lay out of the haunt. You would go from a pitch dark tight area, then go to a open spot. I really liked that because you would get scared at both scenes. I also liked how they wouldn't just scare the leader they would get the whole group at differnt times trough out the haunt. I also enjoyed the props they were really graphic looking. But they wouldn't just scare trough props but they also had a goo amount of live actors. So it was an old school haunt and a new style haunt, so you get the best of both worlds. The one thing I disliked about the Scream Machine is I wished it was a tad bit longer, you kinda just walk right out. But other then that it was a really great haunt, one of the best in the Downriver Community! A must go!
Offical rating for Scream Machine is: 5 out of 6 Skulls
Go to there site at www.thescreammachine.net

Demonic Demons, Location Detroit,Michigan: This was my first year going to Demonic and I was very impressed and pretty damn tired after going trough. This haunt is very nuts your getting chassed around, your getting shot at, you haft to crawl around. Its deffently a haunt you want to consider on not going if you have heart proplems! Its absoutly crazy, it's a haunt you will never forget about. I enjoyed everything about this haunt and it was a resonable length to. Now as good as this haunt was there wasn't a lot of people attending it. But this haunt will make you sweat fear, its very a intense haunt and like I said its not made for everyone and I am not saying that just to sound scary. If you can handdle the intense scares then this haunt is for you.
We give Demonic Demons a good 5 out of 6 skulls!

We hope you enjoyed our first reviews of the season! We are really pumped up so far and we got 3 weeks left. This weekend we are going to do a live on location at Wiards Orchid Night Terrors Saturday October 8th at 8 so come join us and MCHC crew for a night of scares and fun!

We want 2010 to be our best year for reviewing. Every year we get better and better and this year is going to be no different!

Now we do got some sad news, last year we had our 2nd annual Yard of Terror Haunted Attraction, Located in Taylor Michigan Proudy sponsored and run by the MCHC crew, well we have decided to end it this year and just make it a front yard attraction! We just don't have the time to run the haunt. More info will be posted as the date gets closer.

The Last Exorcism Horror Movie Review

Hello all,
This month started Find Your Fear which is free haunted attraction advertisement and we are glad to say that is up ad running with tons and tons of dates from Michigan haunts and Ohio Haunts as well, We have tons of dates and info. Well this week we got a Horror movie to review, Now I know its been a long time since we reviewed a movie but we have been busy with the haunt season which is only weeks away!
So we are reviewing a new movie that just came out

Photobucket
The Last Exorcism 2010
Well I had a lot of mix feelings when I went to see this film. I herd good reviews and very bad reviews. Too me I thought this movie at sucked when I first starting watching it. I thought it was very boring but ounce you sit for a good hour or so it got pretty interesting. It really starts to turn creepy when the possion starts to take place. Now one thing I really liked about it was shot on a home camera so it felt real, and there wasn't a lot of big graphics. Like some exorcism movies, they kinda made it real like this can actually happen. I also think the girl was great, she really made fit the character. It did have some corny scenes but then it had some good scenes.
But the ending was really what made me kinda dislike the movie, it was very odd, it wasn't a surprising ending but it as a WTF just happened kinda like the Blair Witch and its over with so your kinda in the blank so i thought it was kinda dumb and not really thought about when they made it.
So I give the Last Exorcism 3 out of 6 skulls for its creepy scenes and its bad ending!

We hope you enjoyed our review of The Last Exorcism. Since the haunt season is almost there we wont have anymore horror movie reviews to after the haunt season.
Our site is up and running so make sure to check it out for find your fear go to http://mchc60.50webs.com

Hello all,
We are back from our annual July vacation and now we are getting the wheel rolling on the club again.
When we left you guys 2 weeks ago we gave our Top 5 haunted attractions in Michigan which is part of our second annual Summer of Screams were we give our list of what we think is the top haunts or haunted attractions!
So this week we got a new list for.....

Our top 5 Haunted Hayrides in Michigan 2009 season

#5. Millers Big Red Haunted Hayride: Located in Romeo Michigan. The reason why this hayride made the list is its scares. This Hayride is a really in the face type. I know what your thinking hayrides are not that scary but this one was pretty good. The actors really hide welland pop out of nowhere. It is a really fun event for the whole family if they can handle it!
Go to there site www.millers-bigred.com

#4. Haunted Farm of Terror Hayride. Located in Lenox Township: Now I went to this hayride a few years ago but when I went I was amazed how good it was! It has really good scenes in it. A lot of the scenes were very creative some scenes I have never seen before in hayrides. I thought it was well worth the drive out their for the hayride and the haunted house!
Go too www.hauntedfarmofterror.com

#3. Blake's Nighttime Spooky Hayride. Located in Armada Michigan: The reason why Blake's Hayride made the list because it was very long and a really good hayride! It was pretty scary. It was an old school style of a hayride no Hollywood style props. The scenes were really good. So you got to go too see this hayride! Go too www.blakefarms.com

#2.Slaughtered at Sundown Hayride. Located in Romeo Michigan: This hayride is one of my favorite hayride to go too. It has one of the best props I have ever seen for a hayride. The actors are in your face all the time! Now just like the haunted house their the hayride uses a lot of Hollywood style props. So all the scenes look great! This is a hayride that you haft to see in your lifetime! Go too www.slaughteredatsundown.net

Now The extreme scream has been scaring the shit out of us for years now, and this year was no different. Childs Play Horror Movie Review

Hello All
This week we got another great horror movie review for you by Psycho Billy and he has a importent message to inform you in the review as well

So here is Psycho Billys review of Childs Play

I am sad to say that this is my final review for the week. Reason: I am making my own horror flick this summer in July and I need to start pre-production. But don't worry my dead friends, I will be home for the horrordays in December for a Christmas themed horror film reviews. I will be appearing here and there once and again but I do promise you that I will be digging through my horror vault of doom to find some of the Christmas themed horror flicks. So with that is your minds, I present you with this:

"Andy Barclay has a new playmate who's in no mood to play."

This is the horror film that started a fear of small things to life. The film starts out with two killers, one being the infamous Charles Lee Ray (played by Brad Dourif, who played Sheriff Lee Brackett in both Halloween and Halloween 2 remakes), who is seriously wounded by a cop. In order for his survival, he must transfer his soul into an object and back into a human before he becomes part of it. He successful in that plan, transfering it into a doll who is to be owned by a young boy as gift from his mother. This film is wonderful in the direction by Tom Holland and the casting of Catherine Hicks and Chris Sharadon (who played a vampire fighting reverend in the Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood as well as a next door vampire in Fright Night). I enjoyed the special F/X crew who had to do a lot of work on the construction of Chucky as well as the puppeteers who made the doll come to life. There is a way you can see the doll transform into the killer it is possessed by, in the scene where the mother is threatening to throw it into the fire, look at the face. It goes from the typical happy doll to looking a lot more like Brad, who has now become the definitive look of the doll. This film inspired three good sequels and one real bad one (Seed of Chucky).

I give this film Six out of six jack-o-lanterns for direction, special F/X, and keep an eye out for the theaters sometime next year, the film is being remade. But don't fret, Brad Dourif will be returning as the voice of Chucky once again.

Like psycho Billy said he will be gone for a while but will be back in the Hoilday season. We also will be starting our halloween stuff since halloween is getting closer closer and closer, and that means the haunting season will be underway
Here is MCHCS plans for the next couple months
Summer of screams july trough Agust
Find your fear August trough September
Hauntober October

Next week we will explain what Summer of Screams is all about so stay tuned for that

The Wolfman (2010) Review by Psycho Billy

Hello all
This week we got another great horror movie review by no other then the horror freak him self, Psycho Billy. But before the review we want to inform you that we might not be able to hit our Wensday deadline for the newsletter do to my new work scudule but we will still have a newsletter for you every week. So we are sorry about that!

This week Psycho Billy is reviewing a new film that is coming out on DVD

He is reviewing The Wolfman (2010)
"When the moon is full, the legend comes to life"

True as it sounds, it was one of the most highly great remakes in history of my part. The film is a remake of a 1941 film of the same name that stared Lon Chaney Jr. and Bela Lugosi. This film begins with a young man being killed off by a vicious werewolf. It coincides with the return of Lawrence Talbot (played by Benicio Del Toro) to Blackmoor in the search of his brother, Ben. It is his father John Talbot (played by Anthony Hopkins, whom is best famous as Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lector) that his brother is dead. His body is torn to shreds and is mauled by death himself. It is during the full moon that Lawrence is bitten by the same monster, thus turning him into one and ensues a deadly face. The plot twist was epic, the casting was great, the director Joe Johnston was fantasic. I love and loved this film to the core as a true horror fan. But there were some problems I found with it, In the transformation sequences, the villain, not Lawrence, transforms like anyone else. Lawrence changes are looking, and feel, extremely painful.

I give this film the five out of six jack-o-lanterns, and yet i wish to give it the full six, for Special F/X, the casting, the writing, the direction, and the on edgeness that no one could ever expect.

We hope you enjoyed the review of The Wolfman review by Psycho Billy
Next week he is reviewing Childs Play

Now we got a lot of work to do this summer for MCHC. The summer is our time to get the site good and other sites updated so for all Myspace friends there will be a new page pretty soon. We also will be taking a week off in july for our anual vacation so we give the dates next week newsletter.

Zombi 2 review by Psycho Billy

Hello all,
This week we got another great horror movie by our good friend Psycho Billy who has been doing our horror movie reviews for the past couple weeks.
This weeks he reviewing a kinda of a B horror Movie but its a good one

This weeks review he is doing Lucio Fulci's Zombi 2When the earth spits out the dead, they will rise to suck the blood of the living!"

In 1978, George Romero unleashed Dawn of the Dead. It was one of the most terrifying films of its time, but there is much more that you didn't know. It was when it was released in Italy, Dario Argento, who was the force that made George write the film, released it as ZOMBIE that in 1979, because the Italians loved the film, they unleashed their own sequel. The film starts out with a boat drifting along the harbor of NY that when on board, a heavyset zombie kills one of the men and is shot into the water. This event coincides with a group of four going out to an island to search of a young woman's missing father. It is there that a terrible secret is unleashed. It seems that the dead have been coming back to life, and not just on slabs but in dirt and stuff. And the world is just at the peak of death as well. This film inspired three sequels, two of which had nothing to do with the original, just to make money, and features one of the best scenes known to the zombie universe, the infamous SHARK FIGHT SCENE. The filmmaker, Lucio Fulci, also known as the Godfather of Gore, said that the makeup people had three types, nasty, human, and at one point he described several as Walking Flower Pots. If you look on the american release poster, one of the most famous zombies in history can be seen. I love it because of it being a zombie, it was inspired by Dawn of the Dead 78, and that the Italian knows how to make an awesome scary film.

I give this film the full six out of six jack-o-lanterns for F/X, directing, writing, casting, SHARK FIGHT SCENE, and zombieness ever seen on film.

We hope you enjoyed the review by our own Psycho Billy
In the next couple weeks we will have somthing new going on in the club
So stay tuned

The Hazing Horror movie Review by Psycho Billy

Hello all,
We are sorry we missed last weeks newsletter, we were swamped with things to do last week and when it came down to it we couldn't make our deadline.
We do got the movie review for last week on our site
So go to Http://mchc60.50webs.com to read Psycho Billy review on Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)

This week Psycho Billy is reviewing a new film that some might have herd of, its a really good review and I think its a good movie too.
So for this week Psycho Bill is reviewing

The Hazing
"Live Through This..."

Such a tagline as this is a little hard to understand but when you do see the film, it is pretty cool. The film is about a group of soon to be college frat and sorority inductees during Hell Week who go on a scavenger hunt for an assortment of stupidity and useless items. the last on their list is a legendary book that is believed to be able to open the gates of hell itself. a subplot reveals that the holder of the book is a satanic worshiping professor Kapps (played by Brad Dourif, who played Sheriff Lee Brackett in both Halloween and Halloween 2 remakes as well as doing the voice of Chucky in the Child's Play franchise) and that he himself is planning to open the gates. The two plots meet when the two of the students (one of whom is played by the lovely Tiffany Shepis, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the Motor City Nightmares convention in Novi) put him into a between-the-worlds place of life and death. The secondary portion is that the kids have to stay the night in Hack House, a local mansion where a brutal mass murder occurred, where the evil of a sadistic being is truly unleashed. I liked this film for the casting of such well known and wonderfully acted people, the direction of Rolfe Kanefsky, the makeup and F/X, and the writing.

I give this film the full six out of six jack-o-lanterns for casting, writing, F/X, and direction.

We hope you enjoyed the Hazing Film review by, you know it Psycho Billy
Next week he is having a suprise review so please stay tuned for that

and make sure to check out channel 66.6 haunted radio there a great pod cast

Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Review by Psycho Bill

Hello all,
This week on our newsletter, we got another great Horror Movie Review! By our friend Psycho Billy who is doing our movie reviews for us for another couple of weeks!
This week he went to see the new release of Nightmare on Elm Street which is a remake (I hope you new that) We were going to review the original but we pretty much new everyone has seen the original Elm Street classic!

So here is Psycho Billys review on........

A Nightmare on Elm Street(2010)
As haunting as it sounds, this is true, the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is out. Ok, this film is based on the Wes Craven film of the same name. It stars Jackie Earl Haley as the infamous killer Freddy Kruger, originally portrayed by Robert Englund. The story is basically the same, kids fall asleep, Freddy kills, basic stuff, but in this case, the filmmakers have added a reason as to why. Rather than him being a child killer who has become a part of the dream world, in this film, it is his version of revenge on something that happened in the past. Even though it is a remake, it is as equally good as the original. I liked this film because of these reasons:

1. Freddy's not goofy like the original
2. The filmmakers of this one went into micronaps, which the other filmmakers didn't
3. Jackie Earl Haley did an awesome job as Freddy
4. The storyline and effects were amazing.

I give this film six jack-o-lanterns out of six for effects, storyline, direction, casting, makeup, music, and the all out AWSOMENOMITY from Jackie Earl Haley as Kruger.
Remember, Don't Fall Asleep!

We hope you enjoyed the review by good old Psycho Billy!
Next week he will be reviewing..... Texas Chainsaw Massacure (1973) And remeber if you want to suggest a film to review please email Psycho Billy at Psychobillxxx@yahoo.com

Grindhouse movie review by Psycho Billy

Hello all,
This week we got another really good movie review by one of our own members of theclub Psycho Billy and we got a new video log going again so we will put the link on the newsletter for you to check it out!

So lets start off with a huge review of the duble Film movie

Grindhouse
"A double feature that'll tear you in two!"

As the tagline says, it will tear you in two. The film is a double feature of Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino. Released in 2007, this film was a take back to the old grindhouse films of the 70's. Filled with gore and more, this is an excellent film to see.

First up, Planet Terror. This film is based on the old Military, Underground Secret Weapon, and Zombie films like Dawn of the Dead (1978). In it, a secret military weapon (see what did I tell you?) is let loose on a Texas town. These are no ordinary zombies, these ones are vicious and will tear you apart. A shady militia of army men, lead by a cameo by Bruce Willis, arrive for this and the creator of the toxic chemical is obsessed with balls that he keeps in a jar. It coincides with the quitting of a go-go dancer named Cherry Darling, played by Rose McGowan, and the arrival of a mysterious woman, played by Fergie, who is here to help her lover leave her husband and take the kid with them, the kid played by none other that Rebel Rodriguez, Robert's son. At an award winning BBQ shack arrives El Wray, played by Freddie Rodriguez, who has had a past relationship with Cherry. The main whole action in the film occurs when Cherry looses her leg to the monsters and the crew of survivors being captured and taken to a military base where her leg is soon replaced from the wooden table leg from the hospital to a kick ass machine gun leg. I like this film for the goriness, the babes, and the cameos by Tom Savini (Special F/X master of such films as From Dusk Till Dawn and the original Dawn of the Dead.) and Michael Biehn (who played Kyle Reese from The Terminator). An underplot occurs at a hospital, where a major point of the outbreak occurs as a conflict of two doctors, played by Josh Brolin and Marley Shelton. I give this film, you know what, let's save it for later.

The second feature is Tarantino's Death Proof, a film about a group of friends that include a local DJ known as Jungle Julia, go to a bar to hang out. It just so happens that a psychotic stuntman known only as Stuntman Mike is there to crash the party. It leads to a multi scene shot of one of the most amazing crashes ever. The second half leads up to a group of stuntwomen now the targets of the sadistic stuntman, but there's a little something something that he doesn't know. This film also features McGowan as a minor character who gets her face smashed in by the dashboard with the famous quote by Stuntman Mike, "Remember when I said this car was death proof? Well, that wasn't a lie. This car is a hundred percent death proof. Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you REALLY need to be sitting in my seat." This is one of Tarantino's best films he has ever made, and I have seen Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, AND Reservoir Dogs. I know that this one is shorter than Planet Terror.

I give this film a full 6 jack-o-lanterns out of six for plot, casting, F/X, writing, directing, and a whole lot more.

We hope you enjoyed that huge review of grindhoue!
Next week Psycho Billy is reviewing Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) so we hope you enjoy it!

Blair Witch: Book of Shadows eview by Psycho Billy

Hello all
This week we got another great review for you by new member Psycho Billy who is doing the reviews for The Motor City Horror Club!

This week he is reviewing..
Blair Witch: Book of Shadows!

Here it is..

"Evil Doesn't Die."
This tag line, possibly used for EVERY creepy horror flick tag line, has been seen before. BOOK OF SHADOWS is the sequel to the 1999 hit THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. This film stars Jeffery Donovan (to many will be known as Michael Westen of BURN NOTICE), Kim Director, Erica Leehrsen, Tristine Skylar, and Stephen Barker Turner. In the film, due to the revelation that the film was in fact fake, one fan, Jeffery Patterson, gets two writers, Tristine and Stephen, a gothy psychic type chick, Kim, and a witch, Erica, to go out into the Rustin Parr ruins for one night to see if any Blair Witchery occurs and they all black out. Now as the film occurs, the night unravels to it's full revelation to the point that someone isn't who they say they are. This being a sequel, it in this case, rather than expanding on the film's plot, it expands the Blair Witch's history. In one scene, one of the characters states that, in a dream, that character sees it through the Blair Witch's eyes. That, on the exact night of her banishment, the accusers came to the tree and let their dogs attack her and then pressing their hands into her flesh. They promptly untied her and hung her from the tree. The reason why I liked this film was the fact that it was creepy like the first but was a total mind fuck to believe. What you think is happening may not be what is happening. To me, this film was a pretty well made flick, but the problem was that it was a Hollywood flick rather than the home video camcorder one which we all know and love. Then they introduce hidden symbols and words within the film for the people to find and unravel a secret. Most fans will not like this film because of the film's premise and the usage of already known actors rather than ones who weren't known at all, like in the first film.

I give it three and a half Jack O Lanterns out of 6! for effort, effects, casting. Although there is much to be said about the plot.

We hope you enjoyed the review by the great Psycho Billy. and ounce again if you got any movies you want him to review email him at psychobillxxx@yahoo.com.
Next week he will have a huge review of the classic Grind House Both Films!
Also like we said in the past we are going to start up our video log again in the next week or so about the reaction of Motor City Nightmares horror movie convention so stay tuned for that as well. We will post the video as soon as we get it up
So make sure to check out our site, Http://mchc60.50webs.com

Blair Witch Movie Review by Psycho Billy

Hello All
Now last week was our final edition of Haunted History Month witch was a great success this year and we would like to thank everyone who read and responded to our newsletters. Also we would like to thank Channel 66.6 Haunted Radio for helping us with our awesome site.

Now this week we got some HUGE news, During haunted history month we got a new member joined MCHC and he is a Horror Movie Fanatic! He eats, sleeps, and breaths horror movies and horror news. His name is Psycho Billy and since he is more of a horror movie freak then I am. We asked him to write our Horror movie Reviews!
So now Psycho Billy will be a major part to the club and we are giving him his choice on what films he wants to review so his first film he is reviewing is
The Blair Witch
Now his rating scale is 1-6 Skulls
So here is his first movie review ever in MCHC History

The Blair Witch Project
"In October of 1994 three student filmmakers disappeared in the woods near Burkittsville, Maryland, while shooting a documentary...A year later their footage was found."

These words filled the screens across the nation back in 1999. Deemed today one of the most scariest horror films of all times, it still scares me to this day. The film is about three kids going into the woods of Burkittsville, Maryland to shoot a documentary about the legend of The Blair Witch, a legend about a woman blamed for witchery and was tied to a tree to die in winter. In the film, they get lost, but as each night rolls on, they are being watched by a deadly and unearthly force. Until of course one of their own vanishes. The film made millions at the box office and was so terrifying that it made the people watching it believe that it was truly real. That it actually happened. Of course, it didn't. This film is one of the scariest, and still at the top ten of horrific [deleted] I have ever viewed, movies of all times. Spawnong one sequel, 80 billion websites, four mockumentaries, and a possible third film on the way,

I give this film a full 6 Skulls out of 6 for plot, effect, casting, and film making techniques. If anyone wants to make a horror flick anytime soon with a home video camcorder, rent this for reference.

Now we hope you enjoyed his review and if you want to email him any movies to review please email him at psychobillxxx@yahoo.com and give him a movie to review.
Psycho Billy will be back next week with Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows review.
Also our site will have Psycho Billys Reviews on His own personal page. Just clicj on the front page picture to check them out

The History of Horror movies

Hello all
This week is our last week of Haunted History Month were we go trough the history of certain topics like The history of haunted attractions, history of Halloween and many more topics.
But now we are getting to the end of this segment and our grand finally

So here it is... The History of Horror Movies
Horror movies started to get very popular from the 1930's trough the 1940's. Many American producers started to create Horror Movies such like Universal Pictures. Universal was the foundation of horror movies. They brought the hit horror movie classics like Dracula in 1931,and The Mummy in 1932. Those movies started what we would call Gothic Horror Movies. Those films were some of the most scariest films people at that time would ever seen next too Frankenstein which came out in 1931 with Boris Karloff playing the Monster. In the 1940's Universal was still creating classics like The Wolf man in 1941 and also made sequels to Frankenstein.

But in 1950's and 1960's Horror movies would get a huge change. Since their were some big changes in television in the 50's. Some horror movies were being broadcast in color. Their were tons and tons of Horror Movies and SCFI movies being made in the 50's. But one of the best Horror Movies came in the 60's when Alford Hitchcock's Psycho was made it was the first movie that instead of monsters or ghost it was Humans doing the scaring. Another Hitchcock's film in this time was The Birds(1963) was made. Another huge change in Horror Films was George A. Romero's made Night of the Living Dead in 1968. Night of the Living Dead was the first Zombie movie.

In the 1970's horror movies got way More scary and gory. Their was a lot of great horror movies in this time like The Exorcist which was made in 1973 and was a box office smash! Another huge hit was Jaws which was directed by Steven Spielberg in 1975. There was also The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But the best one was in 1978 when John Carpenter directed Halloween. Halloween was the largest grossing independent film ever made!

In the 80's there were a lot of slasher films made during this time like Friday the 13th in 1981, and A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984. That explains the history of Horror Movies from the start were it took off. Now I can keep writing about horror movies now. But I don't think the history is good as it was when they First came out!

Now that was our last Haunted History Article for 2010 and we hoped you enjoyed all of the articles that we did this year.

Now we got a big surprise for next weeks article and it has something to do a new change in our movie reviews and we can't wait to tell you. We will give you a hint, it will take our old reviews and make them more Profisional with a new member of MCHC and also we will have the site changed a bit to
So stay tuned to new changes in MCHC

Hollywood and Haunted Attractions!!

Hello all,

We got one more Haunted History Month issue and that is it
So here is the this weeks article is?

Holywood and Haunted Attractions

Haunted attractions have always scared people since they first started. But over the years props have changed so much. But now haunted houses have gotten the idea to use props that movies use in Hollywood to scare people.

These props make some haunted houses the number one haunted houses in the Nation. Hollywood style props are very real looking and most of them are pretty graphic. But that makes the haunts extremely gory. If a haunted house uses Hollywood props their probably very good haunted houses. But even haunts don't use Hollywood props they still are using props that are amazing looking. In my time of going to haunted houses I have never seen haunts that did not have pretty cool props. Now I have seen haunts with better props then other but all props are gory. You got to give haunted houses credit for all the props because it coast a lot of money to have these types of props in these haunts. Some props run in thousand dollar range or more.

Here are some haunts in Michigan that uses Hollywood style props: Scream Machine in Taylor,Slaughtered at Sundown in Romeo,The Lab in Grosse Ile and Erubus in Pontiac.
Now that is not all the haunts that use those kind of props their is a lot more.

The Reason why the Michigan is The Haunt Capital of The World!

Hello all, Hope your week is going good so far
This week is one of our last post in our new segment called Haunted History Month. During haunted history month we tell the history on how haunted houses got its name and more
We will have two more post after this one and Haunted History Month will be over with!
So this weeks article is...

The Reason why Michigan is the Haunt Capital in the world!

Haunted Attractions have been in the state of Michigan since the beginning of haunted houses. Especially in the Downriver area their were large haunts and small local haunts all across the downriver area and pretty much the lower part of the state! Now the reason why Michigan can be called the Haunt Capital of the world is pretty easy to explain.
In Michigan their are hundreds of haunts all over the state. Most haunted houses in one state. But we have such good haunts around here. Too many to count but we do have a lot. Now are haunts are not rated the scariest in the world but that dose not matter. Haunted Houses here are awesome we got small haunts, large haunts, gory haunts. Hell we even got a haunted house that's in the book of world records for the most largest haunted house ever (Erebus haunted house in Pontiac) Their are so many great haunts here that their is a newspaper made just for haunted houses in Michigan.

But anyways if you go to any other state and go too their haunted attractions they properly can't compete with our haunted houses. People here in Michigan love being scared or scaring other's and you can tell that by the way everyone gets excited every October because it's time to be scared by one of our great haunts here.

Even though were having problems in Detroit and many other cites in Michigan. We can still re lie on our haunted attractions too be their to scare the CRAP OUT OF YOU!

Haunted Attractions Then & Now!!

Hello all,
We hope you are enjoying your week so far. This week we got a brand spanking new newsletter for you, We are continuing our 2nd annual Haunted History Month were we tell you the history of haunted attractions, History of Halloween and many more great articles! Now like we said before some of these articles are re post from last year but there a fan favorite so we are re posting most of the articles and we will have some new ones as well

So this week article is......

Haunted Attractions Then & Now!

Haunted Attractions Then: back in the 60's and the 70's haunted houses were very short and cheaply made. Almost all the scenes were set up in the dark. Their was no expensive props. Most of the props were homemade by the owners of the haunt. Haunted houses were really cheap ticket price back then. Part of the reason was their was not a lot of space. So it was not that long. But they still did the job for scaring people. Haunted houses back then started old school haunts! Old school haunts are haunts that were more dependent on the actors scaring the visitors not the props.

Haunted Attractions Now: Now a days haunts are much larger and gorier. The props are a lot better but not as cheap. Haunted attractions owners can spend thousands of dollars for props. But let me tell you these props are a really realistic. Also they have props that are like robots. Which now a days haunts use that kind of props that are more realistic. But still haunts still use the old school style of scaring people. Now their are also haunted houses and haunted attractions every were you go in the untied states. Also haunting is become a million dollar industry with high tech props and gory scenes.

We hope you enjoyed our article.

History of Haunted Attractions!

Hello All,
Last week we started our new segment in the club called Haunted History Month. During Haunted History Month we tell the history of anything horror. Last Week did the History of Halloween go to to read it
But this week we are doing our favorite article......

The History of Haunted Attractions
Well haunted attractions were basically a garage type of a deal were you would have fake props and cheesy scenes. The garage type haunts were not as long as a haunted house you will find today. But it was mostly to scare people for the fun of it not for the profit type deal like you will find today. Now from the garage type of haunts it got more real when Jaycees (Junior Chamber International) started making more haunted houses that were much longer the the garage type haunts! Now Jaycees haunts were run by volunteers. But they did start charging people to get in their haunted attractions! Now Jaycees was the founder of making a profit for scaring people for fun. Which will flip the haunt world up side down. Now a days haunts are much more better then it was back in the day. Haunted attractions have gotten a lot larger and props were a lot better now. We got haunts that are 4 stories tall.

Haunted attractions in the Untied States scare about 12,000,000 people a year! Also their are still a large amount of garage type haunts and Jaycees haunted houses all over the Untied States

We hope you enjoyed the History of Haunted Attractions
