Hello all,
Last week we finshed our movie of fright awards, and it went great. This week we are starting our new segment called Haunted History Month were we have articles on the history of everything horror. We have articles such has History of Halloween, History of haunted Houses and many more. This will be going on trough the whole month.
So we want to get things started right away with one of our favorite articles
The History of Halloween
Halloween gets it start by Celtic festival known as Samhain. The celebration of Samhain is at the end of the harvest Season. Its also known as the Celtic-New year. The festival was calibrated on October 31st. The Celts believed that October 31st was the boundary the living and the deceased dissolved and the dead became dangerous for the living by causing problems like sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would include having bonfires into which the bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown in. Costumes and masks were worn to attempt to copy evil spirits.
On Halloween or All Hollows Eve Celtics would but a skeleton in front of their window still to represent the departed. Lanterns were in northern Europe were first carved from a turnip or rutabaga.
Halloween Now:
Well Halloween is most cases is not a festival but a holiday in most country's. Now a days kids or some adults go out Trick or Treating for candy every October 31st. Halloween is one of the largest holidays next to Christmas. During the month of October Haunted houses going on and costumes and Halloween props being sold trough out the country

Last month we started our 2011 movie of fright Awards were you get too vote for your favorite horror movie of 2010 and many more categories.
Well the time has come to announce the winners for this years elections.
So here we will announce the winners of each categories.
Best Horror movie of 2010: Candidates are: The Last Exorcism,Saw 3D,Paranormal Activity 2,Daybreakers,The Crazies,Mirrors 2,A Nightmare On Elm Street,My Soul To Take Piranha 3D, Let Me In.
And the winner is with 62% of the vote is The Crazies.

We are sorry.
Hello all,
We are very sorry for missing last week, we were sick trough the whole week. It kills us that we have been missing a lot these last couple of months. We have had a lot of proplems with family and our own health issues as well. We hate missing newsletters, but we prmise you that we are back inaction for the rest of the year starting next week.

We are Back in Action!
Hello all!!
We are so sorry for missing a couple of news letters the last couple of weeks. We had experience a big lost in our family so we have not had the time to sit and make the news letters. And we are once again sorry for missing the last couple of news letters.
Since news years had came and went and we got some good plans for this year. This years goal is to bring more news about haunted houses all around Michigan and in Ohio as well.
We also wanted to bring some more great horror movie reviews by the MCHC crew.
Also each month we are going to have a new theme each month.
This months theme is we are bringing back our Movies of Fright Awards were we are letting you guys vote on what you think is your favorite horror movie of 2010. We will have 5 category's this vote. We will announce the candidates and category's for this years awards. and voting will begin next week.
